Rom 10:2-3:
2For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but
not according to knowledge.
3For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going
about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto
the righteousness of God.
Matt 7:15-20:
15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's
clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes
of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a
corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a
corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn
down, and cast into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
2 Pet 2:1-22:
1Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and
hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that
ye may grow thereby:
3If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed
of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house,
an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by
Jesus Christ.
6Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I
lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him
shall not be confounded.
7Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto
them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is
made the head of the corner,
8And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to
them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were
appointed.
9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy
nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who
hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
10Which in time past were not a people, but are now the
people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims,
abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that,
whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which
they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
13Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's
sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for
the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put
to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of
maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
17Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the
king.
18Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not
only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
19For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward
God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
20For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your
faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it,
ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
21For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered
for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
Jude 3-23:
3Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the
common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that
ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the
saints.
4For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were
before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of
our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus
Christ.
5I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once
knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt,
afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left
their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness
unto the judgment of the great day.
7Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in
like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange
flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh,
despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil
he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing
accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10But these speak evil of those things which they know not:
but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt
themselves.
11Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and
ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the
gainsaying of Core.
12These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast
with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water,
carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead,
plucked up by the roots;
13Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame;
wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.
14And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of
these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are
ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly
committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken
against him.
16These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own
lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in
admiration because of advantage.
17But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken
before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18How that they told you there should be mockers in the last
time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not
the Spirit.
20But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy
faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of
our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
2 Thess 2:1-12:
1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither
by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is
at hand.
3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not
come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed,
the son of perdition;
4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called
God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God,
shewing himself that he is God.
5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you
these things?
6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed
in his time.
7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who
now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall
consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of
his coming:
9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with
all power and signs and lying wonders,
10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them
that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might
be saved.
11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,
that they should believe a lie:
12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth,
but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Titus 1:9-16
9Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that
he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
10For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers,
specially they of the circumcision:
11Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses,
teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
12One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the
Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
13This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that
they may be sound in the faith;
14Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men,
that turn from the truth.
15Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are
defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is
defiled.
16They profess that they know God; but in works they deny
him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Titus 3:1-11:
1Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and
powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
2To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle,
shewing all meekness unto all men.
3For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient,
deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy,
hateful, and hating one another.
4But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour
toward man appeared,
5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but
according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and
renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our
Saviour;
7That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs
according to the hope of eternal life.
8This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that
thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful
to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
9But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and
contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10A man that is anheretick after the first and second
admonition reject;
11Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth,
being condemned of himself.
1 Thess 5:12-22
12And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour
among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
13And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake.
And be at peace among yourselves.
14Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly,
comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
15See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever
follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
16Rejoice evermore.
17Pray without ceasing.
18In every thinggive thanks: for this is the will of God in
Christ Jesus concerning you.
19Quench not the Spirit.
20Despise not prophesyings.
21Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22Abstain from all appearance of evil.
2 Tim 3:1-9
1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come.
2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,
boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than
lovers of God;
5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:
from such turn away.
6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead
captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of
the truth.
8Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also
resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be
manifest unto all men, as their's also was.
1 John 2:10-20
10He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there
is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh
in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath
blinded his eyes.
12I write unto you, little children, because your sins are
forgiven you for his name's sake.
13I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that
is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome
the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the
Father.
14I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known
him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye
are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked
one.
15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the
world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and
the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of
the world.
17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he
that doeth the will of God abidethfor ever.
18Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard
that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we
know that it is the last time.
19They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if
they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went
out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
20But ye have an
unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things
